Bad Math
A multiband fuzz and overdrive plugin built for creative misuse. It turns lo-fi, mathematically ‘wrong’ distortion into a powerful tool for texture and sonic destruction.
Bass Synth
A simple synth bass turned into something with character.Simple Drums
Bad Math is capable of total drum destruction.Doubled Guitar Lead
A melodic Jaguar lead, double-tracked direct through Bad Math for a warm, 60s-style console fuzz.Acoustic Guitar
A dark-folk strumming pattern on a battered thrift-store acoustic, processed to feel like a tape recording on a Walkman running out of batteries.Synth Pad
Slowly gliding pads from the Kijimi Mk2, sculpted with Bad Math’s multiband saturation for a tight, slightly unstable edge of lofi character.303
A Pro-3 monosynth pulverized through Bad Math with modulated frequency sweeps for an aggressive, distorted 303-style bassline with a modern snarl.Synth Arp
A vintage TG33 vector synth arpeggio reimagined through Bad Math’s high-frequency saturation and rhythmic gating to add punch, motion, and texture to the evolving pattern.Under the Hood
• 8-band crossover network with individual band fuzz processing
• Two unique digital fuzz modes per band
• Global overdrive stage for added saturation
• Designed for both subtle tone shaping and extreme sound mangling
• Creative misuse of digital distortion for artistic results
What is Bad Math?
Bad Math is an extreme tone-shaping tool that blends multiband fuzz and overdrive into a uniquely destructive creative weapon. Built around an 8-band crossover network, each frequency band is run through two custom digital fuzz modes, then recombined and pushed through an additional overdrive stage for extra saturation and edge.
Beautifully Broken Sound Design
The fuzz algorithms in Bad Math began as experiments, quirky DSP processes we once considered too “incorrect” to use. But we discovered something unexpected: these mathematically flawed distortions produce surprisingly musical, raw, and expressive textures. Bad Math embraces these imperfections, turning so-called bad math into creative gold.

What is Development Lab?
Development Lab is our experimental playground. A space for testing bold, unconventional DSP ideas. These bare-bones, single-function plugins are designed for creative exploration and rapid prototyping. Think of them as audio Skunk Works: lightweight, affordable tools pushing the boundaries of what plugins can do.
